how house calls work

Marble Surface

1. establish care

In order to request an in-person visit (house call) you must be an established patient. An established patient qualifies as a patient that has been seen via telehealth for their new patient visit and for at least one follow-up.

2.Assess need for house call

In-person visits are generally reserved for:

  • acute illnesses (ie common cold, flu, skin rash, etc.)

  • acute injuries (sprains, strains, etc.)

  • chronic disease check-in

  • hydrotherapy and pain management treatments

If you would like an in-person visit for a reason not listed, you can still fill out a request, or call Dr. Heckard directly, to get approval for scheduling.
